
Dave Tester is a three time honoree in the National
Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame and a three
time recipient of the Idaho State Broadcaster’s “Best
Play by Play” award. His broadcast resume’ includes work
for ESPN, FOX Sports, CNN, ABC and CBS Television. Along
with anchoring nightly sports television reports in Seattle
and Detroit on Fox Sports Net, Dave also served as a local
television sports director and anchor in the Boise, Idaho,
and Missoula, Montana, markets.
Tester has served as the television play by play voice for
the Boise State Broncos, University of Montana Grizzlies and
the University of Idaho Vandals.

Dave began his broadcasting career in 1979 for KVNI Radio in
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, as a sophomore in high school. Upon
completion of his BA in Telecommunication from the
University of Idaho, Dave became a sports pioneer in Montana
by started the first extended high school sports television
highlight show in Montana. Creating and producing revenue
generating sports shows that included bowling, golf and
rodeo helped Dave gain a reputation as an innovator in
sports broadcasting and sales. He also created three first
time radio sports shows in Billings, Spokane and Boise.
Currently, Dave is the host of “T-n-T” sports talk show
4pm to 6pm on AM 630 Radio KIDO in Boise. He also writes and
records a daily sports commentary called “Tester’s Take
on Sports.” In addition to his award-winning play by play
for football and basketball, Tester was recently won the
award for his unique coverage of PRCA Rodeo.
Dave is married to long time television news broadcaster
Claudia Weathermon Tester. Their two children, Carson (12)
and Clare (10) have been known to assist him on the
microphone during live broadcasts.
